WHAT IS the Café at Balancé?

A natural sanctuary designed to nourish body, mind, and spirit. A space that brings together the highest standard of yoga and meditation in the region, a superfood bistro with international-level quality, and an atmosphere that feels like a conscious family — where every detail and every ingredient is chosen with intention. What sets us apart is the depth of the experience, not the surface of it.

Here, community is the heart of everything: yogis, surfers, and local producers coexist, creating an authentic and sustainable ecosystem. You come here to nourish yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally.

We are a refuge for holistic wellbeing — a gathering place for those seeking inner balance, mindful nourishment, and a deep connection with nature in its purest expression. The Café is where El Tunco breathes more deeply.

HOURS of OPERATION

The Balancé Café is open to the public every day from 8 AM to 5 PM for breakfast and lunch and is located here at Playa El Tunco (aka Surf City).  Please note that from 4pm to 5pm we are open but transition to a drinks only menu – offering wellness drinks, smoothies, ice cold coconuts, coffee and matcha, etc.

We are also open for Dinner on Fridays, and Saturdays from 6–9 PM, open to the public.

RETREATS

The Café at Balancé was originally designed and built as a core part of our surf, yoga, and wellness retreats here in El Salvador. Although the café has evolved to serve the public, the same high vibes are present here everyday and a part of your retreat. Retreat guests can expect a phenomenal experience with planned family style meals so that each guest is participating and sharing the same experience; naturally we want the entire retreat group on the same wavelength. Retreat groups have reserved tables for breakfast, lunch, and dinner

RESERVATIONS

Walk-ins are welcome on a first-come first-served basis, but we appreciate reservations for dinner nights on Friday’s and Saturdays. Please contact the reception desk at +503-7866-9708 to make a reservation.

We offer a morning snack included within the room rate for those early birds that like to be ready to surf before everybody else, our morning snack bar its open from 6 am to 8 am and it includes your freshly brewed morning coffee with home baked bread, granola and nutbutters wich you can compliment with our house marmalade and peanut butter. We also cut fresh fruit everyday and offer a daily detox power-shot juice to make sure you have the necessary energy to start your day the best way possible!

As our guest at Balancé anything everything you order from our Café will be added to your room bill so you dont have to worry about having to carry cash around so you can fully focus on enjoying your time here. We have breakfast all day and lunch a-la carte from 8 am – 4 pm.
